Brigid Derry Wins Woman in Transport 2012 Award at the Fleet Awards
Congratulations to Brigid Derry at Derry Bros Shipping on winning the Women in Transport Award 2012. Shortlisted along with two other candidates, Brigid was delighted to be presented with this, the first award of its kind for women in transport across Ireland. "There are great businesses in haulage, many of them with women at the helm but equally there are thousands of women in the industry in operational and management roles. Its brilliant to see the contribution we women make to the transport sector is now being recognised. Brigid Derry Shortlisted for Woman In Transport Award 2012
We are so pleased to be able to announce that Brigid Derry has been shortlisted for the Woman in Transport Award 2012. The award is the first of its kind in the industry and is being presented by Fleet Magazine. On the 3rd October, Brigid along with two other candidates will await the judges final decision to bestow this very prestigious award on the winner. "Being on the shortlist is very exciting" said Brigid "out of 23 applicants its brilliant to be through to the finals. Fingers crossed we'll bring the award back to Armagh".
Derry Bros Shipping Announce 2011 Convoy Sponsorship
Derry Bros are sponsoring the Marie Curie Truck Convoy which takes place on the 24th of July 2011 in Fermanagh. The event is in its 11th year and has proven to be a real success for both the charity and the truckers.
